Qualifications

An American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) Certified Tennis Court Builder (CTCB), principal Fred Kolkmann has designed, built, and renovated over 1,500 tennis courts, and is experienced in planning and directing the installation and repair of asphalt, clay, modular, post-tensioned concrete, and synthetic-turf tennis court surfaces.  His extensive tennis court construction background includes indoor and outdoor tennis club courts, backyard courts, municipal tennis centers, resort courts, country club courts, high school and university facilities, and tennis courts for recreational communities.

Fred is a proud and active member of the American Sports Builder Association (ASBA), and a frequent speaker at ASBA technical workshops.  His unique and extensive experience in evaluating, designing, building, consulting, and preparing construction-cost estimates for tennis court construction, maintenance, and repair and reconstruction services is recognized and tapped into by construction trade media, and Fred is often quoted as a tennis court facilities expert, including in recent articles published by Hanley Wood, the Portland Cement Association, and the ConcreteNetwork.com.
